We’re thrilled to offer our clients the latest in aesthetic rejuvenation via PRP Therapy! PRP stands for Platelet-Rich Plasma, and the procedure involves utilizing a patient’s blood to encourage healing and regeneration to the skin. At CosmeDERM, we use this effective rejuvenating therapy to address skin and hair concerns.

PRP Therapy can be used to reduce and improve acne and severe scarring, dull and dehydrated skin, lines and wrinkles, enlarged pores, aging skin, and many other skin irregularities. We also use PRP to effectively treat areas of a patient’s scalp that show signs of hair thinning and subtle loss. Depending on the skin concern and treatment area, our meticulously-trained skincare specialists will decide whether a small single needle or microneedling pen would be best suited to provide the most beneficial results to the client. Also, because the treatment involves drawn blood as the therapeutic agent, the client can rest assured that no foreign or unnatural substances are used, resulting in little to no chance of any adverse reaction.

We Use PRP to Treat:

  • Damaged Skin
  • Acne & Scarring
  • Aging Skin
  • Hair Loss & Thinning
  • Wrinkles & Lines
  • Enlarged Pores
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • and more!

Have a question about PRP?

At CosmeDERM, we typically begin a PRP Therapy treatment by applying a topical numbing cream (to the face and/or areas of the scalp). A simple and small blood draw is then taken from the client’s arm and placed into a test tube which is spun in a centrifuge system for approximately 15 minutes to separate the blood sample. What remains in the test tube is a clear separation between concentrated platelets, growth factors, and blood cells. These incredibly therapeutic platelets are then reinjected into the treatment area, promoting the healing, repair, and restoration of tissues and hair follicles utilizing the client’s growth factors.

PRP

Our skincare specialists may use a microneedling pen along with the rich platelets to allow for deeper collagen formation in the dermis of the skin. The needles essentially create drama to the dermis layer of the skin to encourage the body to repair, regenerate and heal the area. Results become more noticeable 1-3 weeks post-treatment as the skin continues to rebuild its newly formed collagen stores. Our clients are thrilled to see skin that feels and appears more rejuvenated, smoother and refreshed while addressing other pesky skin concerns. Clients receiving PRP Therapy to address hair thinning are equally ecstatic to see thicker hair follicles and stronger, more full hair in areas that seemed sparse. Depending on your skin and/or hair concerns, a series of treatments are encouraged for optimal results.
